Brief Introduction

    The biological research institute of Shandong academy of sciences was founded in 1983, belonging to institutional organization type Ⅱ of Shandong providence. The biological institute has about 4000 square meters of scientific research office building area, one provincial key laboratory, three college r&d platform, one college biological manufacturing technology r&d platform. There are nearly 70 staffs, of which 28 doctor and 21 master, 5 experts getting the government special post, provincial talent of 2, 2 experts of Shandong Province outstanding contributions to young and middle-aged. Since the foundation, the biological institute has got a total of 200 items of scientific research achievements, more than 60 for invention patents, 4 items of national new products, 2 national new drug certificates and the 7 new pesticide registrations of agriculture ministry. There are 2 items of National award, 1 item of national progress prize in science and technology, more than 40 items of science and technology progress prize at the provincial or ministerial level and more than 60 items of department level rewards.
    The biological research institute actively carry’s out international exchanges and cooperation all over the words, such as Canada, the United States, Australia, France, Britain, Germany, Israel and Russia. The introduction of foreign experts have one national 1000 plan of foreign experts, one National high-end foreign experts, two Taishan Scholars Program for Overseas Experts of Shandong Province, one High-end foreign experts of Shandong Province, one Chi Hui Shandong foreign experts and three high-end circle of foreign experts of Shandong Province. Several foreign experts were awarded the National Friendship Award and Qilu Friendship Award。
    The biological research institute was awarded the Civilized Unit Award, Youth Civilization Award, Model Worker Award and Moral Construction Vocational Model Collective Award.
